The first ever car drag race in the country will be held at Bahria Town Phase-8 on April 25 with an aim to bring forth the talent in the game and provide healthy activities to the youth, managing director Auto Trade Asad Jahangir said on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that the event being organized with the cooperation of Hashir-INTL would also provide recreational opportunities to people from all age groups. The event will also house refreshment and automobile accessories stalls. Also there would be live music played to keep the audience enjoying the event. Families can also participate in the event from executive enclosure.
He said around 40 participating drivers would park cars of minimum 2000 cc in their own slots in a way that audience would have the chance to meet them personally and discuss about their cars.
Asad said that the track for the race would be of international standard and all necessary steps would be taken for the safety of drivers. He said that his company was also planning to hold such events in other cities of the country.
