Islamabad College Girls Mesmerizing Performance at PNCA

The female students of Government Post Graduate College for Women here Saturday mesmerized the audience with their play `Main Abhi Farigh Nahe' at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

The play was staged as part of 10-day Youth Drama Festival 2011 continuing till January 11 at PNCA to provide quality entertainment for fun lovers of twin cities with skills of talented youth.

The students created their script depicting the life of a young man to highlight social issues regarding career, education and future of youth.

The participants of play termed the festival as a useful activity for youth to get experience for their future life.

Students of PNCA's drama art workshop and other from various educational institutions also showed their abilities in the field of performing arts with a number of theater plays.

While the plays including "Nisar Main Teri Galioon kay Aey Watan" by Federal Urdu University and "Panch Kahanian" by Fatima Jinnah Women University will be presented during the remaining days of festival till January 11.

All the plays have some story and a message that combines strong expressions with techniques of acting, dialogue delivery and script, said Tauqeer Nasir Director General PNCA.

The festival has been organized by PNCA, Ministry of Culture as part of its programmes for promoting young talent in the field of performing art in the country.

Tauqeer Nasir said that PNCA's various programmes are planned to promote young talent in the field of arts and it is the remarkable effort of PNCA.
