Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto Sunday said his ministry has initiated different youth facilitation programmes for the development of youth in the country.
Talking to APP, he said the ministry is running a project named ‘Mobile Youth Computer Literacy & Awareness Programme’ through mobile computer vans.
He said the objective of this programme is to enhance the capabilities of youth in the rural areas through mobile computer vans and subsequently provide them the computer facility, so that the training is gainfully utilised.
He said the programmes operating for youth development include International Youth Exchange Programme, Inter Provincial Youth Exchange Programme, National Internship Programme, National Volunteer Movement, National See Youth Camps, National Youth Award, Essay Competitions, Youth Business Competitions, establishment of 100 youth activity centres for sports, training and recreation, Youth Conventions, and radio programme for youth every Saturday at FM 101 and other channels.
He said the ministry has launched a Special National Internship Programme for Malakand Division and Balochistan, adding that age relaxation was given to the youth of Sindh’s rural areas.
